Loutro

Loutro is a seaside village located 74km south from Chania city, in the area of Sfakia.

Its name derives from the Greek word for baths because baths were found in the area. The waters for the baths came from Anopoli.

There are no big hotel units with swimming pools, no streets jammed with traffic, no crowded restaurants and beaches, not even cars in Loutro!

Loutro is a small picturesque fishing village in southwestern Crete where mass tourism is an unknown word. Discover its beautiful beaches "Gluka nera", Timios stavros, Pervolaki, Marmara. Nudists can also swim in these beaches.

You can reach Loutro either on foot or by boat in order to enjoy the sun, the crystal blue water and the unique calmness of this place.
